The McCusker Alzheimer's Research Foundation receives significant support from its Friends and Ambassadors. The Foundation is very small and it deliberately maintains a minimalist paid administrative component to ensure that all donated funds are able to go towards the research.
A Friend is a person who develops a support group or undertakes activities that both promote and fundraise for the Foundation.
For example a Friend in the south west organised a film night and a dinner in 2009 to promote and raise funds for our research.
We seek to have Friends in all regional areas as well as in the metropolitan area.
An Ambassador is a person who promotes the importance of our research and the need for research into Alzheimer's Disease.
An Ambassador is usually a person who has contacts or a public profile that can be used to promote our research.
Ambassadors have to be nominated by a member and approved by the Board.
If you wish to become a Friend or an Ambassador, please contact the Foundation on +61 8 9347 4200.
